The obsession quest is a 5 year quest that includes taking all 50 of the big game animals listed for North America, a Grand Quest on wild turkey, and Africa's legendary Big Five. And, if this were not tough enough for any hunter to accomplish, Bob will conduct every hunt before the unblinking eye of a television camera.

Ok so is he not required to get drawn on some of the species that normally take years to get drawn on?
I thought on some of the sheep etc. that you had to put in for a draw no matter who you where?
Am I wrong on this?

I think that if you had enough money it wouldn't be a problem. As far as sheep, you could complete a Grand Slam without drawing although it would be pricey.... Desert Bighorn hunts are roughly 40-50K in Mexico.

You can conceivably complete the entire hunt without having to draw a single tag, provided your wallet was deep enough (or Bass Pro Shops was footing the bill for the whole shebang... clap)

I hunted in the same sheep camp as Bob a couple of years back, seemed like a good guy, FWIW

I don't doubt that he's a good guy. I just thought that everyone had to draw, also I forgot about the Mexico option. This post is not a put down. Im would love to be in his shoes given that opportunity. I was just curious is all. But trust me if I had bass pro shops or any of them footing the bill I would spend the next five years out there doing exactly the same thing.

During the sheep hunt on which I met him, he told me that all of the animals taken, if I recall correctly, were to be mounted and displayed at 1 or more new Bass Pro stores. That season alone, which was in 2003, he had at least 3 more hunts planned after our sheep hunt, including goat in BC, Whitetail in North/South Dakota I believe, and Desert Bighorn... To say I was envious is an understatement of mythic proportion... More power to him, we all get to chose our way in life, that's what makes our country so great cheers

It sounds like a good challenge, I'll do it. So, who's the person paying for it that I send my acceptance letter to?
