I learnt of Lazzeroni looking at their site, but never hear any talk of their calibers or the rifles. I'll guess that the cost (US$4,999.99) may be one reason. But they offer them in Sako and Savage rifle too. They are incredibly fast, flat shooting rounds and boast amazing accuracy too.
Sadly none of the Lazzeroni calibers are availiable in Europe as far as I know, not even the Sako, but I would very much like to rechamber my Sauer 202 in 7mm rem mag for a 7.21 (.284) Firebird if I can make up the cases.
I'll have to see over in the gunmithing forum if anyone can tell me more about this conversion.
Has anyone here any experience with the Lazzeroni range?

I have two of the Lazzeroni rifles..both are the short versions rather than the longer ones...(1) is the Patriot (.308) than easily gets 3100 fps with the 180 gr Nosler in a 24" barrel, and (2) is the HellCat (.375) that will push a 300 gr Nosler to nearly 2600 fps in a 23" barrel. Both are extremely accurate. If you buy the Lazzeroni ammo you are looking at almost $100 (US) for 20 but you can buy the brass and load your own. Brass is about $2 US each but I have loaded some of mine more than 15 times (I anneal every 5 shots) and as I don't "hot-rod" the loads, the primer pockets are still tight.

EXPRESS,

If you can get Weatherby and Remington, the 30/378, 338/378 and 378 Wbys are about the same case as the Lazzeronis in the same bore diameter.

In Remington, the 7mm Remington Ultra is about like the Lazzeroni.

Where the Weatherbys will be different is in the freebore. However you could have a reamer in the Weatherby calibers ground so that the throat dimensions were conventional or the same as the Lazzeronis. Case cpacity will be nearly identical.
