I need some help for my ears. Have any of you tried the in the ear type of protection for actually hunting?

I have both Pro-Ears Gold "flat style" muffs and Sport Ears Micro-Blast 30's (in-ear style). No question, They both works incredibly well. If it's cold out, I'm hunting in a blind or I'm shooting IDPA the Pro-Ears are good. For everything else the SportEars flat out rock. I love them and used them extensively in Africa, often putting them in during the morning drive out and not taking them out all all during the day. I wore them for 12 hours straight and they just plain work: super comfortable, adjustable volume, digitally managed sound control. If I had to pick "just one" style I'd recommend the in-ear style hearing protection for hunting purposes. BTW, I think the "Primo's" branded ones that are being sold at BassPro are the Sport-Ears - they look exactly the same...and are considerably cheaper. I've used EARS, Inc in-the-ear hearing protection twice in Africa and multiple times bird and elk hunting. Put them in in the morning, take them out when you quit hunting in the evening. Wore them for 2 weeks in Zim in August every day, 2 weeks in Namibia 3 years ago, bird hunting in Argentina, Paraguay, and New Mexico, elk hunting in New Mexico. They work you and you forget they are there. Chuck
