Given a charging lion, what would be more effective, Both barels from a 9.3x74r, or a heavier single pill from a larger bore delivering the same mass and energy(with the appropriately constructed bullet)? "The early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese."

I would want the first shot to do the job, so I vote one bigger hole, then another if things go wrong. Are you actually thinking you would pull both triggers on purpose? LIFE IS NOT A SPECTATOR'S SPORT!

Believe me, the first shot is all-critical, and will largely decide the ballgame......... AD

One gun, one BIG hole, and make a good shot. Ted Kennedy's car has killed more people than my guns

IMHO, for dangerous game one deep hole trumps any number of shallow ones, relatively speaking of course. Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.

The big gun. But, I want two holes, one in and one out. Frank "I don't know what there is about buffalo that frightens me so.....He looks like he hates you personally. He looks like you owe him money." - Robert Ruark, Horn of the Hunter, 1953 NRA Life, SAF Life, CRPA Life, DRSS lite

I'm a big beliver in 2 holes in every instance. Hunting or self defense, I like 2 holes, one incoming and one out going. I know all the arguements about overpenitration and bystanders, but having a little experiance with this I still want 2 holes. The problem with America is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?
