My daughter with a nice Rio Grande Tom taken with a side-by-side 20 gauge. We were lucky enough to take two toms each during this hunt.

Congratulations! I think more women hunters will help preserve our right to hunt a little bit longer. There is nothing in hunting that a women can't do.

I love the shotgun, warm wood with style. No plastic-fantastic will ever look so nice.

Beautiful turkey, gun and Daughter.

Congrats to the young lady for her hunting prowess and on taking her turkey with a "proper sort of gun".

Congrats to the Father also . . .

In my mind raising a daughter who becomes a hunter is a testament to great parenting.

That trophy photo is just about perfect!

Hunting in Africa is an adventure. The number of variables involved preclude the possibility of a perfect hunt. Some problems will arise. How you decide to handle them will determine how much you enjoy your hunt.

Just tell yourself, "it's all part of the adventure." Remember, if Robert Ruark had gotten upset every time problems with Harry
Selby's flat bed truck delayed the safari, Horn of the Hunter would have read like an indictment of Selby. But Ruark rolled with the punches, poured some gin, and enjoyed the adventure.
