Sabot,

Over on this side of the Blue Ridge, we don't waste a round. We just carry a few long nails in our pockets and wedge them up under the tires (both sides), that usually gets them. You're right about those fellows liking their cars/trucks bettern' their wives. For some I think the order, top to bottom, is gun, truck, dog, knife, TV, kids, mom, dad, good food, house, wife. [Roll Eyes] I've actually known fellows who heated the dogs' house before their own homes!

I'd like to ask one question, of the guys who like shooting trucks, and flattening tires! How in hell do you know who owns the truck, and what he is doing in the woods? How do you know hw is not a land owner, or a bird watcher, or simply someone out haveing a pik-nik with his family, or on a camping trip with his kids? [Confused]

The act you guys describe as JUSTIFIED is as bad as the poacher's crap, or the Animal Rights idiots burning hunter's camps, or vehicles left un attended! [Roll Eyes] JEEEEEEEEEEZZEeeeeeeeee!

Puleeeeeeeeeeze, don't let me catch you vandalizing my truck or ATV. I would pop a cap in your ass so fast you would be cold before you hit the ground. Its a simple equation: Don't fuck with me or my stuff and I won't fuck with you or your stuff.
And forget the pseudo legal bullshit. If need be, I'll take my chances with a jury. Are you ready to take your chances with St. Peter?

I've never done this myself but I know some who have. Yep, even taken shots at "trespassers" AND told the deputies about it when they finally arrive. Right or wrong, that is what happens.

BTW, if you're hunting or parked on somebody else's land, after dark, and they don't know you, what do you think they think you're doing? Something good? If you ain't poaching or participating in other criminal behavior, what do you have to worry about? You won't be putting yourself in a bad position. If you are doing something illegal on somebody else's property, you're often lucky in some areas around here that they don't shoot you much less your vehicle.

I will say that if any person comes on my property and threatens my family, that person should expect to meet with resistance.

It is funny how real poachers either make outlandish claims about what they'll do when THEY are caught or simply never say anything. I've seen and heard people with convictions go both ways.

I do understand those who see an unacceptable lawlessness in this. I don't think that this would be MY first response. Still, it is done and I think, more often than we know.

I fail to understand this logic. What I read you're saying is that you do commit illegal acts but IF I defend myself, my family and my property, YOU will SHOOT US and want to know if I will be prepared for the guilt of that?

Sir, if you perpetrate an illegal act on my family you can bet I won't be vandalizing your car. Your car will be the least of your worries.
