My daughter shot her first bear this afternoon at 4:24pm 215 lbs. She was useing a Ruger no.1 30-06 180 hornday sp at 2700 fps drove it right to left taking the top of the heart breaking left shoulder on the way out. Bear was knocked over got up ran 50 yards and died. I think I was happier then she was.

That's great, I like how you got the time right down to the minute. I was out teching my son how to find bear sign and places to hunt yesterday, Too bad he's only three years old. I don't know who is having a harder time to wait, Him or Me.

NBHunter I was sitting in the stand with her saw the bear coming looked down at my watch 4:24 She shot shortly there after. I know how that goes with youngster both are mine are in the mid teens. But when they were younger they just couldn't do anyone thing for long.
