I saw those pictures in either Outdoor Life or Field & Stream magazines, about 15 years ago. It happened over in Montana. The Montana F&G game warden who was attacked, killed the Griz with his S&W .357 Magnum. If he'd not been armed, and determined, he'd probably have been killed.
