I've found a number of soured deer on my farm shot with 30-06's and the like, almost always shot with 180 or 220 grn bullet, behind the shoulder and didnt set up enough for a quick kill. A BT would have been a much better choice. I have a hard time thinking in terms of shooting an animal in the ass or quartering away, just wasnt raised that way to take those shots. If I did, i might want something like a barnes X, but for the hunter who picks his shots, most anything works well.
