22-243/6mm as a Factory Round

I've heard rumors from a couple of friends that one of the major manufacturers is going to bring out a 22-243 or 22-6mm. Can anyone confirm or quash these tales. ( I don't think the 223 wssm would qualify as this. At least I hope not [Big Grin] )

I think the wildcat name for the 243 Win necked to 22 call is called a 22-243 Middlestead. I am pretty sure that what you are asking about is the "22 Texan" (or "22? Texan"), the 6mm Rem necked to 22 cal. You might try an internet search and see what you find.

I hope they do offer the .224/6mm Rem in factory form! I love mine and some properly headstamped brass would just be icing on the cake! [Big Grin]
