Aspen Hill AdventuresUgh!
Today is the start of the 2019 deer season in Missouri. Archery, specifically. I didn't indulge as it was 92F and hideous humidity out there.
Instead, I took apart my wood stove so I could stay indoors in the air conditioning. What a mess I have made though. One nasty problem after another but by golly, wood will burn better this winter here.

Lamarours started 2 days before the dove and grouse opener.
I went berry picking and got some odd looks from the road hunters.
I guess they thought I had one down and they all had to look.

p dog shooterWife shot a small buck last evening.
I shot 5 geese also spent until 10pm processing the deer and geese.
Up early to go bear hunting I wish it was in the 40's instead of being highs in the 70's.
It would have been a lot nicer just rip the hide off the deer and leave it hang.

Aspen Hill AdventuresIndeed, I sure like the cooler weather for seasoning a carcass. All this week here in the Ozarks will be in the mid 90's. Boo.
