The "Top Five Trophies Of My World" I have luckily, already harvested:

#1 = Trophy Mule Deer
#2 = Mature 6x6 Bull Elk
#3 = 15 1/2" Antelope (off public lands!)
#4 = Mature 14 point Whitetailed Deer
#5 = 50 2/8" B&C Mt. Goat

I have NO interest in spending my Hunting dollars and Hunting days anywhere but in North America!
Especially, I have NO interest what so ever in Hunting in Africa for fenced in animals!
But next on my list of Trophies here in "my World" will be a big mature Shiras Moose, a Wolf, then a Rocky Mountain Bighorn Ram!
Yep theres plenty of Hunting left to do in "my World"!

After reading this thread I have noticed that a lot of you must not have adventorous minds whatsoever. The title says top 5 trophies of the world and you don't want to leave North America, couldn't get any more boring than that for me on a dream list.
Im with Sevens on this. It would be extremely hard for me to narrow it down to just 5 species. I might could narrow it down to 5 continents.

1. Africa
2. Asia
3.Europe
4. Australia
5.South America
6. North America
The list of actually animals would be very long.

For me it would be,

1) My first bunny, taken with a .410 single shot when I was 6.

2) My first ever gray fox, caught in a Victor #2 double long spring on my trapline when I was 7. All by myself.

3) The first quail my best ever bird dog pointed and retrieved on opening day when he was 6 months old.

4) The first water retrieve of a teal made by the old dogs son at 7 months old.

5) My first buck taken on public land, by myself when I was 13. 18" wide heavy horned 3x3 coastal blacktail. Mom had dropped me off the night before, I packed in a whole mile camped out that night and got that buck the next morning with my 6mm Rem. and my handload with a 105 gr. Nosler Partition semi spitzer.

The elephants, bongo, sheep, etc, etc. might be nice but nothing will ever top those kind of things for me. Big Grin

Begal tiger

Black rhino

Mt. Nyala

Bongo

A really big elephant

The first 2 are not available. I really wish I had been born a little sooner. The last 3 are available but it is questionable if they are in my financial grasp.

Its all relative;

Your First one!
Your biggest one!
Your toughest one!
Your next one!
And....
Your Son or Daughters First one!

Make most folks top 5!

I know a guy that has shot one of nearly everything in S. Africa, the South Pacific, and North America, who's trophy indicators are;

"Biggest one today"
"Biggest one so far
and "Biggest one anyone in my family ever shot!"

Hunt n B Happy - Shoot well and be proud!!
