The top 5 I would shoot would be the Rocky mntn Bighorn Ram, A Rocky mntn Bull Elk, A Cape Buffalo, A Greater Kudu, and the Mongolian Ibex. We have a herd of M-Ibex in one of our local zoo's and in it there are some rams that are truly awsome.

I dont name any cats or Bears as I dont have an overwhelming desire to hunt them. Im glad some guy's do, it at least gives them some chance for survival. Without leagal, Licensed sport hunters involved in their future's these predator's have a bleak outlook indeed.

Without the involvement of hunters in ALL the futures of these animals ive named, and many more, and the kids, of our kids, will be lucky to even see them in a zoo. I know I have left out many outstanding animals but all this is personal "for me" and includes the potential of the particular animal delivering a "memorable stalk" as well as the same animal provideing a 1st class trophy too....good shooting.........10

RAO,

I will be glad if you ask for about 20 trophies! Now choosing five is a bit difficult..lets try.

1-Indian Tiger
2-Indian Barasingha
3-African Elephant
4-Marco Polo Sheep
5-Kashmir Markhor

I selected one from each species i.e., cats, elephants, deers, sheep & goat. The one left is antelope and my choice would be a Greater Kudu. Due to restriction of 5, bears and bovines are excluded. But if relaxation given my choice would be Kodiak Brown Bear and African Cape Buffalo. And the last one a Black Rhino.

RAO,
Since we always want what we don't/can't have:

Bengal Tiger
Bongo
Nile Lechwe
Rocky Mt. Goat (I've always wanted one)
Mountain Grizzly

Three of the five are possible today. Hopefully, one day the other 2 might be.
Maybe peace in Sudan or Gambella reopening would produce the Lechwe. Problem tiger are shot in Indonesia every year. I'm sure the same goes for some of the other host countries. Why no turn them into cash..make then worth something to the common natives rather than just the undertaker.

I'm a whitetail addict, so I agree with reloader66 (and perry is a man after my own heart, but add the neighbors' cats that hang out around my feeders), but here's my list:
1. BIG whitetail deer
2. Marco Polo
3. Kudu
4. Dall Sheep
5. Elk.

Now, of course, I'd have to build a new house to house all these trophies too, so I'd need to win the lottery.

I find it interesting the sable is listed several times but the Altai or Asian ibex is not. Having shot the Altai ibex and sable, IMO there is no comparision - the ibex is longer of horn than the sable, and much more massive. The sable may have a more impressive cape and doesn't smell like goat for the first year or two, but if you like a good cape, then a tahr or plain old gemsbok can't be beat.
