Hi Folks, This Fall I will be whitetail hunting on some rugged National Forest land in SW Virginia. The elevations in this area, according to the NFS topographic maps, range from 3,000-4800 feet above sea level. The range where I will do my sight in is around 1800ft above sea level. Do you think this is enough of a variation in elevation to radically affect the point of impact? Thanks for the input, HBB

That's not enough to worry about. I sometimes go from 1,000 to 8,000 and it makes a couple of inches difference at 300 yds.
