You are Welcome! These colonies were nothing but trouble makers causing the king a headache and it was a wise decision to let them go. I say them not "us" because my ancestors either were buried so deep in Louisiana swamp they could care less or hadn't got here from Czechoslovakia yet.

My sister lives in the UK. Wonder if she touched off any ordinance?

There is no similar holiday in the UK but there a sizeable number of Americans in London and particularly around the area I live in.

They have fireworks and ribs and if one knows the right people one can get invited along!

Quite agree with you Andy, rumbustious colonies are best left given independence and visited much later when the hunting is good.
