The list

There has been several topic on if you could have only one gun and so on. This is a bit different. This is the ultimate wishing list. (I'll throw in some more if I can come up with some.)
It's not just big game guns, but I guess that more people go here. Hope it goes anyway.

Let's start with rifles:

First I must have a normal hunting rifle.

A Sako 75 synthetic stainless with a Zeiss 1.5-6x42 with nr4 recticel, mounted as low as possible, in 308 win of course. This is a moose, deer, roe everything smaller rifle.

Then a nice S/S double in 9.3x74 with a Zeiss 1.5x42 in QR mounts. It needs to have good open sights. And the open sights are probably going to get used. It must have double triggers and straight stock. Merkel or Krieghoff is the model of choice. It should have as little engravings as possible. I don't like engravings. This is a moose/Africa/bear gun.

A double in 470 NE is the next. Just for fun. It must be heavy and have a good pad. Open sight will do. No scope on this one. Double triggers and straight stock is a must. Some English gun or maybe a Blaser, Merkel or similar will do. It to should have as little engravings and should look like a "working gun". Nice balance and fit like a good shotgun is essential on the doubles. This is the real Safari gun.

A rifle set up for long range shooting is the next I need. It would be something like 338 Laupa in a modified bolt action. Probably start with a Sako TRG 42 or Remington 700. It will be set up like a sniper gun, with a bipod and McMillan stock. A brake and a good pad are nice to have. This will be a paper punching gun mostly, but maybe some long range hunting comes up. Like seal hunting or some hunting in America. A large scope with high maginfication and objektiv.

A Winchester 88 lever action in 358 win. This is one of the nicest looking guns I know about. See Petersen's Rifleshooter March/April 2002. I think this would be a nice moose gun. It would probably be very hard to find one. Since it's out of production but I still want one. It has so smooth lines that are so pleasing to the eyes. This will be a deer and moose gun.

Then I need a 22LR. It must be a CZ or Sako. A CZ 452 with an American stock and good trigger. I'm not sure if I want a heavy barrel or not. The stock should resemble the other riflestocks. This is a practice/plinker/small game rifle.

That is all the rifles I'll need.

Then I'll need some shotguns and combo guns.

A Sabbati or CZ or Tikka combo gun in 12/70 or 76. With a 7x57R rifle barrel that is free floating and possible to regulate. It must have double triggers and a shotgun type stock that fits like a glove. It should be no more than choke. I'd prefer replaceable chokes. This will be my allround gun for roe and small game and if a moose or deer crosses my path I can take that to. An aimpoint sight would be fitted to the gun permanently.

An O/U trap/hunting shotgun. It should be around 3.5kg and have 75cm barrels. Single trigger and replaceable chokes and pistol grips. The stock must fit nicely. This will be my trap gun and main hunting shotgun. An Italian gun is what springs to mind. Berretta, Sabbati, Tikka or Perazzi will all do. I already have a Emilo Rizzini O/U that I like.

An S/S shot gun in 12/70. Light weight and English type stock, double triggers. I think I'll get a Star and make an English type stock out of it. It will be fun to do it myself. It will be a light hunting gun for long trips and other types of hunting where I'd like a light gun.

Then the big gun. A 10 gauge shotgun for Goose hunting. An semi auto or an S/S is the action of choice. I have looked at Zabala and Remington. A single trigger would be preferable. I don?t want this to be a light gun.

Than I'd need some hand guns.

A 22LR plinker and paper puncher. It will be a semi auto modern looking gun. I'm think of a CZ or Walter in a semi target model. It will be a nice practice and starter gun. It must be accurate and have good open sights.

Then a 9mm target gun. Like CZ, Tanfoglio, Glock or simulate. It will have god sights and some grips that fit me. It will probably get some modifications on grips and sights.

I'll throw in a big ass revolver as well. It will be some kind of magnum 45. It will be a hunting/magnum competition gun with open sights. A S&W 629 Extreme hunter in .44mag or .454 Casull or the 357mag.

Now I just need to get some money and try to convince the police that I really need all the guns. I think I'll be able to pull of most of the list at the police station. Money is a bigger problem [Frown]

I'll be happy to see your wishing list or your actual list.
Right now I have a Remington ADL synt in 308win, an Emilio Rizzin O/U 12/70 shotgun and a Voere 22LR. I also have a CZ air single shot air pistol.

Johan

I remember being 18. At the time, you had to be 21 to buy handgun ammo. K-Mart's sporting goods clerk wouldn't sell me 22 LR ammo because it could possibly be used in a handgun. The guns store around the corner had some sense and sold it to me for about a dollar more than K-Mart.

My wish list:

Left-handed BRNO ZKK 602 action

Left-handed magnum rifles in general

Freedom Arms revolver, 44 Magnum caliber and my friend here will take one in 475 Linebaugh (I'd like to shoot one once, but I don't want to pay to feed it)

M1 Garand

Remington 870 done up by Scattergun Technologies

U. S. Machine Gun, Caliber 50, M2HB (no good reason)

GE M134 Minigun (no good reason)

Oh alright,

I reckon a Sako or Tikka, with a Stainless Barrel and dark walnut stock would be sweet. I would probably put one of those Khales scopes on it too. The calibre will be either a 270win or 7mm rem mag. I could smash pigs, goats, deer, rabbits, pretty much any aussie animal with it.
Another choice outfit would be one of those Lazzaroni masterpieces, i rate the Sako/Tikka combo better cos i probably wouldnt have the guts to take the Lazzaroni out in the field. Have a look at their website and you will see how much they are.

Some days ago I looked at a Sauer 202 with synt stock fitted with a Zeiss Diavari. I think it was a 2.5-10x50 or a 3-12x56. It had 30mm tube and nr 4 rec. The gun I looked at was already sold.
Dam, now I need to ad an Sauer 202 to my list. It was very, very nice gun. The safety was the best I have seen, the barrel was truly free flooting and the gun was light and a joy to handle even with the large scope. It didn't look as nice until I picked it up.

CZ to bring out a stainless synthetic with a quality synthetic stock in there 550 magnum's. And some company to offer a good synthetic after market stock for 1895 ss Marlin 45/70's.

And Marlin to chamber the .50 Alaskan as standard. Stupid move creating the .450 Marlin just a re-hash of the 45/70 I reckon.

Admittedly I am a cheap date, but not such a tight wad as to forego quality. I do prefer utility to beauty however, but will take both as I can. Here goes.

1. Marlin 1895G in 45-70 sent to Dave Clay for action/triggerwork,load gate widening, and Pacmyer Decelerator pad,Burris 1-4x or 4x compact scope, and Hunter Scout mount.
2. CZ 550 safari in .416 Rigby, but would love it in .416 rem for the extra round. Would happily substitute Savage 116SE in .416 Rem./Rigby
3.Sako TRG/Lazzeroni Warbird 7.82(.308)wearing 2-7x compact Burris or Leupold.
4.11-87 Remington Super Magnum Shot gun
5. Remington 870 with extra 20" & 26" BBL for home and over seas wingshooting where semi autos are forbotten.
6.Kimber pro carry .45ACP
7.Kahr K.40 for me and the wife
8.Walther 99 in .22LR with 5"& 3.5" BBls
9.Marlin 880SS in.22LR

I think that would do everything I will ever need or want to do, and provide some nice guns for the kids too. Good thing I like reloading!
