I am looking to buy a very large bison steak for a Father's day gift.

My father has said that he would like to try a 1 1/2 - 2 inch thick bison steak someday.

I have not been able to locate anyone local to supply me with bison meat. I have found internet sites that sell the steaks but they only sell them in 8-10 oz sizes.

Can anyone here help me? Thanks.

I don't know if he can furnish the size requirement immediately, but you could call my brother-in-law and see, he has a Bison herd and has fresh meat monthly, and sometimes weekly, and he does custom orders. Do a internet search for whole foods markets. They sell fresh Buffalo. Maybe they have a market in your area. You can also search for Romaniks Ranch in Cheboygan Mi.
