I just purchased a Brno ZH305 with two sets of barrels. One set has a 22 Sav HP barrel on top of a 12 ga barrel and the other barrels are 12 ga on 12 ga. Just curious what experience other have had with similar comb. guns. The reason I bought the gun is I shoot a few coyotes and frequently when I call them in brushy areas they get in close enough it is sometimes tough to get the crosshairs on them. I was thinking by having a comb gun ,if they got in close on me I would give them 1 1/2 ozs of # 2 shot. If they stayed out further they can have the 70 gr bullet from the 22 HP. The other reason I bought it is because I didn't have one. Would appreciate any comments.

The 300 series are a well made gun, if a little heavy.
I have seen a few here in OZ that were available as sets with shotgun/shotgun and rifle/shotgun BBLs.
Usually the 22 Sav Hi-Power or 7x57R with 1 9.3x74R that I remember.
Most common here is the 7x57R/12g.

Best of luck.

Cheers, Dave.

I have a 7x57R/12ga (ZH 304), and a mate has this set and another barrel set in .22HP/12ga. They were also available in 7x65R/12ga, 5.6x50R/12ga and .22 Hornet/12ga, though these are uncommon, and IIRC much the same rifle calibres with 16ga. Double shotgun barrel sets in Field, Trap and Skeet configuration were also made.

I have a 1.5-6x42 scope on mine, and this seems just about ideal, allowing close range shots on running or flying critters with the shotgun barrel on 1.5x and 200 yard shots on deer with the rifle.

The rifle barrels are usefully accurate too: mine betters 1.5moa for the first three shots, while my mate's .22HP set betters 1 moa by some margin, at least for the first three shots (the shots start to wander upward as the barrel heats).

Thanks Dan. a 7x57&12ga or a 7x65 & 12 ga would both be handy as would the 9.3x74 over 12.Anyone out there know where an unwanted barrel set presently lives send me a pm.

Got lucky today.
My LGS rang up. It seems a fellow was in trying to trade a 300 BRNO series in 12/12g Skeet, 22 Savage HiPower/12g and 7x57R/12g. Condition fair to good, with some bluing wear. The owner of the shop wasn't interested, but thought I might know someone who was... Big Grin

I cannot recall this ever being offered as a 3 BBL set, perhaps someone else can?
Either way, I grabbed it. Cool

Cheers, Dave.

Hi Snowman: I have a ZH300 series with 5.56x50RMag over 12ga and the other set is 7x57R over 12ga. I have looked for other barrel sets and have not found any. If you bought that at Tradex maybe ask them to watch for extra barrel sets for you as they are more likely to come across them than anyone. Dan

I only bought it for the shotgun BBLs (I needed a cheap knock about shotgun for working outdoors)
And I guess the 5.6x52R will be fun to play with on small to medium game.
If you like, I can look into what needs to be done to ship the 7x57R/12g BBLs to Canada.
Let me know what you think?

Cheers, Dave.
