I'd like to buy that insert. You can leave it packaged in the drilling when you ship it. Enjoyed the photo!!

Thanks guys... Back when i sold Krieghoff inserts new, i sold the short ones for 99 bucks each!!! Can someone kick me in the @$$ for not keeping about 20 of them!!!! At least i did keep both, a 22LR and a 22Win. mag. for this drilling, as that's all i ever thought i'd ever want for it... For 22LR ammo, i like Remington Vipers for hunting best, but i shot this fox with CCI solid ammo. It was a head shot, so almost anything would work for that... Normally, i keep the 22 Win. Mag. insert in it, especially for fox or coyote... DM

Consider it kicked. Where's my $99 .22lr insert? BTW, nice pic! Cheers, Dave. Aut Inveniam Viam aut Faciam.

Thats interesting , because one of the reasons why the short insert barrels in 22LR and 22WM where here in Germany replaced by muzzle long Inserts in 22Hornet or 222 or 5,6x50 was, that they where considered too weak for foxes.

I normally use the 22 Win. Mag. insert for fox, and for any longer shots, i use the 8x57... This fox was close and i just happened to have the LR insert in at the time... As always, it's more about where you hit them than what you hit them with... DM
