What to use in an old drillind 8x57JR ? S&B or expensive RWS? Is S&B safe to use?

No worries!! I have used both. I now use S&B exclusively. Accuracy is excellent and consistent.

I've used both and found the RWS regulates a little better in my 8x57 double rifle but for your drilling it won't make much differance.
They both use the 196 bullet weight and I have'nt found any differance with the bullet performance.
