A while back I read an article about how to check the solder on older drilling’s before you buy them. I can’t remember the instructions.

Well on double guns you ring the barrels. Hang them on a finger by the hook, and strike the barrels with finger nails or a little brass hammer, tuning fork etc and they ring nicely. Solder is loose they won’t.
