Well, Dale Nygaard did it again. He found me a 12/12/9,3X74R drilling at a decent price. It FAR EXCEEDS my expectations. Dale has some fantastic sources for quality firearms at realistic prices. I don't know how he does it.

This is a circa 1980 Simson standard grade drilling in 12/12/9,3X74R with a 8X Schmidt & Bender Grm #4 reticle in swing mounts. The gun is tight as a drum and is flawless, save for moderate hunting wear to the case colors. I had and sold a high grade Merkel just like this gun that was too nice for me to take afield ( I am a bit clumsy), and now years later I asked Dale to find me a "beater" in sound condition. He came up with this gun.

"Beater"...I think not... dancing

THANKS AGAIN, DALE!! Wink

Packy, That is a 3 shot 100 yard group using German CECO brand ammo. The gun shoots much better than I do as a rule. I LOVE set triggers!! dancing

Oh yes, set triggers. I love them, if they are the type that can be used set and unset. I got acquainted with them in the muzzleloading game. I have to admire a 100 yard target like that. Did you have a chance to see what it will do at 200 or 300? It is always fun to just see what she will do. A good all around NA hunting gun there. I think she may be your go to gun for a while. Good shootin. Packy
