Can someone point me in a good direction to find an affordable combo gun or drilling.

I've attempted to contact Heym USA, but have yet to hear back from them.

My dream would be 20 guage combined with something 6.5mm in the rifle barrel. I'm not opposed to a 16 guage, 7x57. Might could do 12 guage with 9.3x74R.

Rifle wise I would like to find something that will be reasonably easy to feed...I do reload.

Any information is welcome, I'm just looking to get into the drilling game.

The Valmet/Tikka 412/512 comes to mind. See them on Gunsamerica from time to time in the $1000-1250 range... http://www.gunsamerica.com/Shotguns/~1-1356.aspx The 12 over 30'06 seems most common.

Brad,
It would be easier to help you if we knew what "Affordable" exactly means? There are a lot of guns around a price range is needed to help you better.

No good deed goes unpunished.

I'm thinking less then 2k for a combo gun and less then 4k for a drilling. I like things that are slightly unusual, 12 guage and 30-06 are just so bland...Smiler

I know of an excellent Merkel drilling in 16ga 2 3/4" chambers and 7X57R with a 4X Schmidt & Bender scope for around $3m. If interested, I can get you in touch with the seller if it hasn't sold. I know the gun...I once owned it, and it is a keeper!

OOOPS!...I just called the owner, and it has sold. I sold it only to upgrade to a Geyger 2 barrel set in 16 & 9,3X74R and 20ga 3"/243...both scoped.

PM me. I may sell one of my others, however.
