I have owned a Belgian Browning Superposed 12 ga., a Darne V-19 12 ga., an Ithaca M37 12 ga., a Colt/Sauer M3000 De Luxe drilling 12/12/30-06, a M12 Winchester 12 ga., and a Brno ZH 200 series with several sets of barrels -- all 12 ga.

The ZH is without a doubt the most durable, most durably assembled, most trouble free, most intuitive gun I've owned, by a considerable margin.

The 300 series is a minor product improvement of the same gun.

Its liabilities are: it is less comfortable to use in a duck blind because of its steep action break to cock; and it has only extractors. This last item I consider no liability, you might.

Excepting its operating lever, it is ambidextrous. All parts interchange without fitting. The ZH 200s had all machined or forged steel metal parts. The gun disassembles easily for maintenance. Rifle and combination guns incorporate an integral telescopic sight base on top rib. Set trigger assemblies drop replace unusual but very convenient double trigger assembly in about two minutes.

It balances well for me and points where I point and shoot.

I feel very strongly about the value of the ZH 200/300 series O/U guns. When judging it against every other shotgun or combination gun I've used or my companions have used, or examined, my attitude toward the system is reaffirmed.

Hi naphtali
Thanks for your reply
the onlu o/u como with rifle barrel over the shotgun i owned was a savage 24 which i could never make it shoot with with both barrels . the shotgun barrel shoot more than a foot lower than rifle barrel and in the other side the rifle barrel(it was in 3030) with hanloads 125 sierra and 150 gr hornady bt was a real tack driver Smiler . it seems the brno 200 and 300 models have the rifle barrel over the shotgun barrel. what about the POI of barrels?. i had a tikka old models m69 with 12 ga/222 remington and it has a same poi with both barrels at 40 yds, and very accurate rifle barrel. do you have any experince with newer brno models like 580 and 500 series?.
bestregards

I have a CZ (don't remember the model and I'm not at home)in 12ga top 7x57R bottom. VERY accurate with Sellier & Bellot ammo with the scope. Atrocius iron sights but accurate. Wood is very plain hardwood but fit and finish are above average. Really like it but have found little use for it here in US,wanted to take it to Zimbabwe for Guinea but never got around to it.

I bought my first Valmet 412 around 1980 and since then it's been fired thousands and thousands of times. It's never failed to fire or function perfectly, and i consider the 412's to be very accurate and reliable.

I really like the way the owner can easily regulate the rifle bbl to "any" handload or factory load.

Then there's double or single trigger options, a strong quick attach scope mount, manual or auto safety, numerous bbl choises and many other options.

It's an excelent hunting gun, for an affordable price, that will last a lifetime.

This kudu fell to a Tikka 512 in 12ga/9,3X74R. This was my double trigger receiver, and I had many barrel sets at one time, all highly accurate.

I used this particular gun in RSA, Zimbabwe, and Tanzania. It never faltered.
