| Is you gun a 412K or 412S? Also, are the shotgun barrel fixed or screw choked? I used to deal in them before my supply dried up. Nice system, but heavy. I still have the ones I kept for myself. The only one I use much anymore is the 12/.223 for turkey.

| The 412 is the better grade, and the 412S is the lesser...the wood is different between the two.
2 3/4" or 3" chambers? Choke tubes for the 12/12?
The wood and receiver are worth around $375.00-$450.00
The 30-06 O/U are about $675-$750.00
The 12/223 is about $650.00
The 12/12 with a set of choke tubes and in 3" chambers about $550.00-$600.00.
Case: add $50.00 to the set.
Do you have any mounts? They're worth about $200.00-$240.00 used. |

| The K guns are generally marked 412K. Early 412K guns had plain wood, no palm swells. Later K guns had left and right-hand wood with palm swells one one side and finger groove fore ends. The 412S guns in my experience have wood with double palm swells and round fore ends. Technically the 412S guns have anti-doubling devices and have three diameters of firing pins, the smallest being for rifles only. All of my guns are 412S guns with late 412K left hand wood.

That's about what they go for here, too.
Cheers, Dave.

| You have an early gun that predates the 412K series. In the early days Valmet sold a system set that would have had calibers similar to yours. The 412 evolved from Valmet shotguns and combo guns that in turn evolved from the Remington Model 32 O/U shotgun design. The primary features of this design are the trunnions on the sides of the receiver and the sliding lock on the top. The Remington 3200 was inspired by the design concept, if not all of the technical features. The Kreighoff O/U is also similarly inspired by the Remington 32. design.

| I'm soaking up as much information as possible here. I can learn about my 412 this way. I don't remember the exact prices of my barrel sets or the action and adjustible cheekpiece stock. But they do anything asked of them so far. Packy |
