I just bought a new drilling the other day over at the gun show, it was a small frame 16x16x9.3x74R made by W. Voss. It's a exposed hammers, double trigger firearm with a flip up rear sight and unusually eccentric engraving for the period of time that it was made. I am to assume it's a german made drilling, however upon my research I have came up with only a happy tale of a man finding his lost parakeet. Does anyone have any insight as to who this maker is or for that matter, is it even german or not? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Well I did attempt to research and it looks like a J.P. Sauer and Sohn action, however I haven't the slightest if it is or not. Doens't have any markings as far as the "W.Voss" and a few German proof marks. The barrels are marked Krupp special steel and are nitro proofed. Anyways I decided already that I didn't really want it anymore. Would anyone be interested in buying this rifle? It locks up very tight, in 90% condition and well, is just a interesting piece. I'm willing to part with it for $1400, I paid $2,000 but I just don't particularly need it. It would make a great starter. P.M. me for pictures or if interested!
