Tree...

Since the ownership change and the move, they aren't worth shit anymore. They don't seem to scrounge very well, but I sure appreciate your courtesy in a reply.

Good Shooting, my friend,
Bruce

Hello my friend! Smiler

It is a basic gun, pre-war M. Gladbach 27" 16/9,3X72R without the scope. Like many "liberated" guns, it was taken sans scope; it has the claw bases. The receiver has only border lines engraving, and I need to re-trace the checkering, but the gun is tight and sound.

I got it pretty right and wanted it for my walking around gun when I work my Llewellin setters. I like having a rifle barrel, as we have A LOT of coyotes around these last few years.

My prized cape gun is a Sauer pre-war 12/12 SXS and 12/8X57 JR two barrel set. It had a Weaver K3 P&CH in claws with 1" split rings, but now wears a Leupold 1-4 VX II. It went to Africa a couple of times and was just the ticket for diker and steenbuck.

Yeah...rub it in...rub it in... Roll Eyes

That thing Does Shoot! I was getting sub-MOA groups if I cooled the barrel between shots.

Did you get the einstecklauf installed and regulated?

I feel naked; I don't own a 9,3X74R or a 9,3X62 at this time. I am having a pre-64 30-06 Mdl 70 re-bored and chambered to 9,3X62, however.

JJ installed it a while back, but I'm embarrassed to say I still haven't shot the gun.

Luv2, what do you use for your reloading powder and bullets? I've had a tough time finding any reloading data.

I have a German guild gun drilling 16x16/9.3x72R.

For bullets Google Hawk Bullets or Buffalo Arms Co. You want the 193gr-200gr bullets, nothing heavier.

A good starting load range is 38gr-40gr of IMR 30-31. It is an excellent powder for the 9,3X72R.
