I know Charles Daly made or imported a few different drillings. I have come across one in 12 x 12 x 38-55. I was trying to find some information on it. The gun has Damascus barrels, and work seems to be all original. Can anyone lead me in a direction for value of the gun.

Thanks.

Mink and Wall Tents don't go together. Especially when you are sleeping in the Wall Tent.

Degree of ornamentation, and condition will play a role in value determination. You should post some pictures!! The fact that it is a 12 and not a 16, and is chambered for an American rifle cartridge will help its value!

I owned an identical gun. You will quickly find that unless the gun is truelly in exceptional shape they really don't have much value other than as collectibles.

That being said, I purchased mine for $750. While I have seen others in similar condition sell for north of $3k. Why the difference? I got a great price, the other buyer was simply a fool.

I had Briley take a look at the gun. The cost have it brought back into a safe quality shooter would have been an additional 1.5-3K depending on how far I wanted to take it.

Needless to say I eventually sold it for a small profit and moved on to more realistic/productive projects.
