As I am still looking for an adapter, I have thought of a new avanue. Nothing like being short of cash. I am looking at adapters for Ruger to Weaver base. The four clamps may be alterable to the Valmet base. I think at about $20 I can afford to fit them. Looks like I may get to use my dot sights or a Bushnell Holosight for turkey season. Any ideas here? TIA Packy

If you do it, use the Ruger #1 mounts with the recoil lug that goes into the slot at the rear mount area on the Valmet. It won't take much alteration to make it work, and you need it to hold everything from sliding on recoil.
