Greetings, Anybody here have any guns by Fred Adolph, Genoa NY? He sold drillings, vierlings, doubles, bolt action and pistols, about 1908>1920. T. Roosevelt's .450 double was an Adolph. Been enjoying this forum, keep it up!Am the owner of a Sauer 16x16 -7x57R. Just got some 7x57R ammo from Graf, produced and headstamped by Hornady. hans

Hans You are obviously a man of fine taste! Mind you, your choice of Drilling ensures I am a bit biased! Sorry, no info regarding F.Adolph. Rgds Ian Just taking my rifle for a walk!........

I owed a Fred Adolph 1903 Springfield, and the German Gun Collector's Association used to (and may still) sell a reprint of an old Adolp catalog. Michael Petrov who frequently posts in the Gunsmithing forum has a lot of information on Fred Adolph. Dave One morning I shot an elephant in my pajamas. Beat me to it. Mr. Petrov has a plethora of info on Adolph and other makers. I suggest you get Mr. Petrov's books- its an excellent compilation of makers. http://www.amazon.com/Custom-G...Petrov/dp/1931220212 ----------------------------------------- "I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived. -Henry David Thoreau, Walden
