start with a railroad tie - the creosote makes for batter grip -==

mpi makes a composite version - its twice as ugly and harder to work...

the coilCHUNK stock is a grotesquery that is unneeded ... the CZ american stock is far more graceful and handy ---

(from a guy that's shot 585 and 550s in the same)

This is a rifle I had built in Ed Hubel's 585 HE. The stock is a fiberglass A-Square Coil-Chek made by MPI. As I remember, it was about $900 painted, bedded, with additional recoil lugs added. If you look at the surface area of the butt, you'll see why they work...probably twice the area of a regular stock to spread out recoil forces.

what I am working on is identical to yours, just dropped off at the smith to have barrel drilled and tapped for sights, Always wanted a 577 and this is going to be the only way to get close enough, have any starting reloading data?

Ed Hubel has all sorts of load workups, I'm sure. Mine is still be Ceracoated.
