Not sure if this really belongs here. To my knowledge no military has adopted the LR-308 format but here goes. This is my LR-308 chambered in 547 Ronin, a .55 cal wildcat cartridge based on a cut down 505 Gibbs. To my knowledge this this the biggest LR-308 that has been built to date.
This probably was not the most economical rifle as it is a expensive to shoot and a pain in the arse to load for but Im happy how it turned out.

Build list:

Doublestar Star 10 receiver set
23" PacNor barrel with 1:16 twist- carbine gas length
Kak Magnum Bolt carrier group
Wojtec Adjustable Gas block .936
ACE Rifle Stock
Apex Gator grip handguard
Blackwood trading grip
KAK Heavy Rifle buffer
Safety I had in parts bin
CMC Trigger
Aero Breach charging handle
- Final rifle weight without scope/mag is 9.1 lbs
I have found that DPMS mags work fairly well but they are hard on the brass. I did reinforce and modify a magpul mag and that seems to be the most reliable so far.

Performance:
I have tried a number slower powders but performance was severely lacking. For example H335 with a maxed out charge only gave me around 1660ft/sec. and the gas block needed to be wide open for it to cycle! further testing has shown H322 had the best ES and was the most accurate, slightly less then an inch at 100yds.

600gr. CEB
OAL 2.83
Federal Large Rifle Primer
Bertram Brass trimmed to 1.997 inch
Each charge weight was fired 4 times for an average unless otherwise noted.

70gr. H322- 1892 ft/sec ave
71gr. H322- 1911 ft/sec ave
71.5 H322- 1930 ft/sec ave

69gr. LT-32 1889 ft/sec ave
70gr. Lt-32 1907 ft/sec ave
71gr. LT-32 1935 ft/sec ave

Left to right: 300blk, 375 SOCOM, 547 Ronin, 450 NE.
