Not sure if this is the best place to post, but I'll give it a shot: I want to build a copy of the USMC M40 sniper rifle. I'm looking for a walnut stock, preferably a semi-inlet stock that I could finish myself. I thought about stripping and sanding a standard m700 stock and re-doing it in oil finish, but I'd prefer a new stock or an oldie from the period. I'm not real anal about making it a perfect replica, I just want a shooter that has a striking resemblence to the original M40. ----------------------------------------------------- Do not answer a fool according to his folly, or you yourself will be just like him. I was planning on doing the same as you. The donor shot so well that that I left it alone. This stock iis an early ADL converted to BDL. | |||
