Question, If I was looking to buy or have an 03 Springfield sporterized who would be the person or people to get in touch with. Any info would be appreciated.

I'd definitely purchase one already sportered. It's not economical to buy in original condition and then pay to have it sportered. If you don't have a local gun shop with a selection of used guns then I'd go to Gunbroker or GunsAamerica online.

Kidd, my springfield sporter was a bubba job that cost $90.00. $200 later new 4 groove bbl, lyman reap peep,redfield front ramp sight. Polished bu me and reblued by smith. Has two bolts. Standard 1903A3 and a polished 1903A4 that has the thickness reduced and both bolts headspace to this rifle. The A4 sniper bolt headspaces tighter than the other. Now doing work on a reworked "C" stock, someone chopped the forend square so will have to add either rosewood or ebony. Frank

DITTO, true of most custom rifles.
