Hi, anyone have one of these? I was thinking of getting one for Alaskan brown bear. Regards, Chuck "There's a saying in prize fighting, everyone's got a plan until they get hit" Michael Douglas "The Ghost And The Darkness"

My old superintendent from Korea has one...He used it on a Grizzly in Alaska. He said the only problem he had with it was the recoil. It was a bit sharp so he had a muzzle break installed. Otherwise it was a great shooting rifle with plenty of knock down energy. Just as a size reference, the man in the photo is 6'5" tall and probably close to 260lbs...

The XCRs in 375 H&H are very light for the caliber. I do shoot a 500 Jeffery so I'm used to recoil. A mercury recoil reducer in the butt of the stock and a slip on Limbsaver recoil pad have helped tame my 500 Jeffery somewhat ... The XCR in 375 H&H may well need the same treatment Regards, Chuck "There's a saying in prize fighting, everyone's got a plan until they get hit" Michael Douglas "The Ghost And The Darkness"

I've got an XCR ll in 30-06 and I don't think it kicks bad at all. It is a pussy cat compared to my weatherby ultralightweight in 30-06.
