Well, about a week before I left for Namibia in June, I asked my friend, if he could do a little reshaping of the stock on my 7x61 and refinish. As you can see in the photo it was an old custom. Well, the sneaky bastige picked up a semi-inlet blank and the project just grew. This baby will hunt, but I think it looks good just sit'n too! The only thing left to do is some simple checkering. Now, to get some 160tsx loaded up! Jason Z Alberts “If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. Beauty, eh? Hope you kept the old stock too -- reads like the new stock is a different one. _______________________

Always thought the 7x61S&H was a classic cartridge design. Still do. Your rifle is grand also, checkering or not. The checkering certainly will elivate it in appearance and utility. Good Hunt. roger Old age is a high price to pay for maturity!!! Some never pay and some pay and never reap the reward. Wisdom comes with age! Sometimes age comes alone..
