I have this agravating dang 9.3X62 Blaser barrel. You set a target up at a hundred yards and your first shot goes right where it is zeroed, but you can never find the next two shots, they must be missing the paper all together. I guess I will hunt with it as it always puts that first shot right where you want it.

It's a shame when you get rifles like yours. If the animal doesn't drop with the first shot, all the other bullets following down the same hole are not going have any effect. Bummer.

I've got two ... one CZ 550 American and an ugly truck rifle built on a VZ.24. Both do fine ... not as "bad" as some of these, but within the MOA range. Never had to screw around to find a decent load.

They sure as heck aren't as pretty as DJ's. That's a beauty!

Djpaintles,

Who made your rifle? That is beautiful! My first thought was Echols, but I am unsure...

Gorgeous, regardless! Eeker

They are very troubling rifles aren't they? Not only do they shoot without tweaking, but they whisper sweet nothings in your ear about booking the next flight to Windhoek ...

My 9.3 has done that; not only did the second and third shots miss, the first one must have wobbled or something because the hole was .65" edge to edge. Maybe it was the cheap Hornady bullets I was using.

The one I borrowed shot three Norma Oryx's into a one minute hole at 150 yards off of the back of a four wheeler the first day of last moose season. With a 6x scope, factory trigger, rolled up Carhartts for a rest, and me behind the trigger, that's an excellent group.

Ron, I think you should send the barrel back to Blaser and ask them for another that will group at least a two inch group. Wink

Thanks for the Compliments, I built the rifle. It was my project number 5. Here's the left side: (sorry not the best pic)

I need to get back busy with project #6 which will be it's near twin in 7x57:

Been too busy making a living on my real job (and maybe shooting too often) to have spent time on the 7x57 for way too long. After hunting season I'm planning to get back to work on it...................................DJ
