I believe I saw some 9.3x62 Norma ammo (don't know what bullet weight) at D-Ray's on Forest Lane in Dallas. Might want to try and call them before making a drive.

Local shops rarely stock metrics. Cannot find 9.3x62mm in Houston either, might have a better chance in San Antonio or Fredericksburg (Germans live there). I buy my 9.3x62mm from Midway and the other online shops, although I mostly handload, as do my friends that shoot the 9.3mm. Good bullets are the Nosler 286 partition, and the Norma 286 and 232 grainers. RWS makes a super 256 grain H-Mantle, if you can find them.
Just came back from the range and shooting the RWS H, and Norma 232 gr Oryx. The Oryx churned up 2630 fps via my Chrony. "Adequate" for Plains game.

Graf's has PRVI 286gr SP's for $14 a box of twenty. Almost as cheap as buying brass!!! and twice as much fun.

I would try Elk Castle gun and pawn at 1-30 and Cherry Lane in FW. If anyone in town has it they do.

You might also check Cabela's at 1-35 and Alliance Parkway.

Good Luck

Look at Bill's Guns, next door to Alpine Range's entrance in Kennedale. Talk to James Shied. They were the only shop in North Texas stocking CZ 9.3's and ammo when I bought mine.

I dunno if Hunter's Headquarters in Bedford has anything but you might look up his ph# and talk to Mims...he and his son both shoot 9.3CZ's across the pond regularly.

Whether your reloading or not, Graf's is the place to go. They sell the loaded ammo, I think in PRVI, Sellier & Bellot and Lapua or RWS. They also have their own headstamped 9.3 x 62 brass and PRVI bullets and it is really inexpensive. At least, thats where I get all my 9.3 compnents.

Well, I live in between Fred-patch and San Antonio and there is not any stocking dealers in Fred or SA (bass pro, cabelas, sportmans wharehouse). I order mine form Grafs or Midway. I went into Durys guns in San Antonio one time and ask for some 9.3x62's and they looked at me like I was out of my mind. They did the same when I ask for a 8x68S! Oh did I say I come form a German hertige!

I'm not sure I did the right thing but I ordered a box from Graf's......
No matter what they say....it's still less costly than .375 Ruger ammo!

Take that RIP!

Vapo, I ordered a case of the stuff when they had it on sale about 6 months ago. I was planning on blasting away with it so I would have some brass to start working up loads. I took about 4 boxes out one day and damn if most of the bullet holes don't touch each other shooting 100 yd groups! I'm sure the bullets are cheap, but they do shoot out of my rifle.

I hope you have the same luck with yours.

Terry

The more I read here and the more I shoot mine, the more I come to the conclusion that 9.3x62's are not real picky!!

They seem to shoot about any load pretty well.

Mine shoots great with those Grafs $14 loads, as well as any handloads I've tried.

Natchez Shooting Supplies usually has Sellier Bellot ammo for a good price. My CZ really likes it. The bullets are kind of soft for anything bigger than deer, but for the 18 bucks or so a box they get for it, you can shoot it up an reload with whatever bullet trips your fancy.
