Anybody formed 300 from 375 and if so how well did it go? I'd assume necks will need turning and possibly annealing as well? Roger | ||

According to Donnelly: Anneal case neck, FL size in 300 H&H die, square case neck, chamfer. | |||

I'd try without the anneal and just size till they chamber. | |||

I've not found annealing case necks all that necessary. I did when forming 357 AMP from 44 but that was a really extreme change. I would expect some thickening and a need for turning to true up and restore concentricity. Roger | |||

.429 (.44) to .358 = .071 difference .375 to .30 =.067 difference Not a great difference! I would anneal!!! Shuddent Hoit! Hip | |||

I get you have surplus 375 brass but when I was short 300 H&H, I resized 300 Wby. A straightforward process with very little trouble.
