I'm about to buy a couple hundred new cases. I've had good luck with my RWS cases but was interested in lifespan of other brands. Lapua seems to be the most favored case in the 9.3 x 62. Same true in the 74 R?

The RWS 9.3x74 brass is great and better than the Norma 9.3x74 Cases.
Lapua is the best I have found and cheeper than RWS , but i'm not sure if they make 9.3x74R?

I have never seen Lapua brass in 9.3x74R. The RWS brass is far better than Norma. I use it for making a wildcat .338x74Keith. I get five firings from the Norma before case sep. appears. The RWS is on 7 firings & still looks great. If you section the cases the RWS is about 1.5 times thicker in the critical web/head area.

Another vote here for the RWS. Have been using it for more than 35 years and have found no reason to change.

My country gal's just a moonshiner's daughter, but I love her still.

Do you know who has made the specific batch of RWS, Norma and Lapua brass?

Sometimes things are not what they seems to be. I do not state that Norma brass is better than RWS or Lapua!

By the way, now adays you can buy a Korean built Chevy ...

My experience with brass has been limited to RWS, Norma and S&B. I don't know who made the RWS brass but it was significantly better than the Norma. The Norma wasn't much better than the S&B.
I got 8 or 9 reloads out of the RWS and am still using it. The Norma was good for 3-5 and began to split. No ,I am not shooting high pressures or over working the brass. Neck sizing only because I don't have but one 9.3x74.
The RWS was very pricey but it has lasted.

I like the RWS as well. Have only used the old (~200 gr/case) and the new (~216 gr/case) Norma brass. The RWS just holds up better with my moderate loads. Shame it's so hard to get.

Thanks for the responses. My RWS has done well. Seems as though yours has also!

Hmmm Norma makes all RWS cases exept the ones for the Blaser cals and 5,6x57.

However when Norma makes cases for other parties, they will make them to specs.

I sure hope that my cases will last longer than 3 times.

Last but not least as a Swede I find it somewhat offensive to have Norma scored as low as the S&B.

Could be a batch thing.
