Hard to go wrong with either the 9.3x62 or a Husqvarna.

I have one and it's a great rifle. How can you go wrong with a good M-98 action and the 9.3x62.

Anyone who claims the 30-06 is ineffective has either not tried one, or is unwittingly commenting on their own marksmanship

I bought a pair of Husky model 146s that use the 98 action and had them rechambered to 9,3x62. Haven't fondled them yet, but am very happy with my choice!

Kwan,

Assuming it is mechanically sound, I'd suggest less thinking and more buying.Smiler

My dad has a Husqvarna .30-06 and it is a great rifle. I don't think you can go wrong with either 9.3 X62 or a Husqvarna. I think you need to buy it ASAP.

In the 50's when the Husky was imported into the US most were new factory made guns. They "got no respect" from the gun writers (who Win and Rem had in their pocket) because they were only 1/2 the price of a Win 70. They never went over big then. Most of the Husky that you see now have come into the US are factory rebuilts(30's and 40's) on military actions. In most cases they have been "road hard and left wet". In Swed.& Nor these were working guns and the owers are now buying new and usesing them as tradeins and the gunshops fill up with them. They were bought up at cheap prices and shipped here in-mass. Most of the nice ones have been bought up (see pictures on posts)but there is a lots of k-rap that is left over that is for sale. Most of the left overs are Mau.93 and 95 and a small amount of 98's. Most are in 9.3x57 with a low number of 9.3x62 and 8mmx57, plain Jane barrels-cheap iron sights-25% blue with rust-plan stocks w/cracks and repair spots and most have Weaver bases.
