Take an aluminum arrow shaft section about 10" or whatever in length, drill out the primer pocket of a fire formed case, stick the shaft in as far as it will go then glass it in place...You can cut a slot for oiling the patch in the shaft someplace...make one for each rifle you have....Works like a charm and save some bucks...

Could it have been "Bore Tech"?

It sounds like a Lucas rod guide. Go over to benchrest central web page and ask some of those guys. I have one for my benchrest rifle and I don't know what calibers Mike makes them for. I know he makes them for .308/ 30/06 size cases.

These are made for the Dewey coated cleaning rods and are cartridge/action specific, and they are the best in my opinion. I did an article titled "The Big Five....Indispensable Tools For The Accuracy Aficionado" published in the October 2002 issue of Precision Shooting magazine.
