I am curious for those of you who have .338 RUM's. What has been your most accurate and highest velocity powder you have tried, using 225gr to 250gr bullets. Thanks

SO far I have settled on Retumbo with the 225gr Accubond. I'm getting 3140fps out of the 225gr Accubond with 103.0 gr of retumbo in my 27" barreled browning abolt.

In a Remington Sendero in 338 RUM I settled on a load using a Fed 215M, Reloder 25, and a 225 grain Nosler Accubond. I get 3160 fps and little tiny groups. I shot two groups in one afternoon that measured 0.35 inches for three shot. Those big guns will shoot if you can hold them. R Flowers

Thanks for your input, the reason I ask is because within the next couple weeks I will be aquiring a .33G&A, which is basically the same as the RUM except for minor case dimensions. Has anyone used IMR 7828 or H1000. If so how did they work out for you.

Ive used Magmum retumbo and H1000 I have had the best luck with H1000 in my gun ( a custom model 70 with a 3 grove Pac=nor) with 99.5 gr @3150 for a 225 gr TSX it will some times shoot three into .2 or 6 in to .7 @100yds the other powders did not shoot as well. good luck with yours. You can't kill them setting on the couch.
