I just had a Ruger77 converted, It has a 19 in barrel. Just got back from Idaho elk hunting. used It all the time out. Carried well.Didn't get to try it out on elk but thats another story

Eduegello, Same stuff I use only my charge is 53 grns, a load I took from an old Barnes manual. I actually get 2370 from my 20"bbl. But I didn't think anyone would believe it. I used to use the old AA2015br but it' no longer available. My accuracy is just like yours.

When I set outr to develop my load, the source gave 54 grains of WW748 as giving around 2450, but I didn't have to go to that heavy a charge tyo break 2400 FPS with all the accuracy I could handle! Those old-style BLR's were really good rifles. but I was never able to persuade Browning to put sling swivel studs on 'em! So I always had to do that myself. I guess they fancied them as "saddle carbines" or something!! I note they still don't have swivel studs on them, even though some of them seem to be sporting a pistol-grip stock nowadays!!
