Hello All I have just picked up a Browning A bolt 300 win magw/boss. I am very happy with my first 300. I was a bit surprized to see that I have a 20 inch drop with 180 grn. rounds at 350 yards. I have only fired facftory rounds thus far. Anyone have any input on this? I am open to any and all info I can get on this round as it is new to me. I usually shoot 308, 30.06, and 223. Also any tips for the Boss would be helpfull. Thanks for the info and hope you get some snow where ever you are..... None here in Billings Montana area and that means NO Elk!! Happy Shooting!

I don't know what your hunting but I really like (and so does my rifle) the 150 grain hornaday interlocks. They really do the job on dear. I would opt for the 180s if I were hunting anything larger than dear.

20" drop at 350? What is your zero range? Determine an appropriate kill zone size for the game you intend to hunt and calculate your PBR. I should think you can cut that in half. I use an 8" kill zone and have a drop of 27" at 500 yards. This is with 200 gr boattails at 2980 fps.
