Setting your bullets to fit the magazine of your rifle usually works best with big round nose bullets...they take up a lot of powder space and seldom reach the lands when so seated.

raamw, BTW I shoot the Woodleigh 300 g. RN almost exclusively these days in my .338 Win...I like 69 grs. of RL-22 for 2375 FPS..man that load adds new meaning to knocking down elk..and it works very well on Cape Buffalo in solid form.

Thaqnks for the info. I did contact Barnes and they stated the bullet should be set .005 tp .01 off the lands for best accuracy, I explained to them that I had a BAR and the magazine would not permit that. They than advised an overall lenght of 3.28"
