I don't think that your dealer should have promised you an 8 day delivery, unless he had spoken with the wholesalers who he buys from to insure that they had a 9.3x62 CZ 550 FS in stock. If there was going to be a delay, he should have communicated with you on a regular basis. If the delay wasn't acceptable, he should have offered to cancel the order and refund your $$.

Whenever a customer wants me to order a rifle for him/her, I try to call around to my wholesalers until I find the rifle and confirm that it is available for next business day shipping before I make the sale.

The old saying "the customer is always right", is a good rule of thumb for retailers in any business, so his critical comments were inappropriate and that sort of behavior is likely to lose him some potential customers/sales down the road. If a customer asks my opinion, I'll give it to him/her, but if he/she knows what he/she wants, then I take his/her $$ and sell him the item. (unless it is an item that I don't/won't handle).

Who was this guy? PM me if you will. I'd like to make sure I don't go in his place by mistake? Just think what he'd say if he found out I have a 500 NE double shocker

I'm going to bet it was Wades.

I second Andy at EastCountyGuns.
I also like Ben's loans in Renton.
Also, DJ's in Bothell is pretty good.

But on the other side of the coin, gunshop workers tend to go funny working indoors all the time, and having to listen to all the wild tales of those that never miss rabbits out to 1000 yards. stir

I would just conclude my business with him.

And if he decides to throw in some more of his 0.02 cents BS, call him on it. Tell him politely and very assertively in no uncertain terms that it is what you wanted. It's not his gun, money, or choice. You do not have to justify anything to him. You ARE the customer that's paying.

We've all had encounters with people like this. If you are going to do business with him in the future, make it on your terms. If not, walk away. They are plenty of places more than happy to provide the products that you are seeking. Isn't capitalism great?

Enjoy your new 9.3 CZ. Don't let a moron ruin it for you. Life's too short.

My daddy told me never to wrestle with pigs, 'cause all you get is muddy, and the pigs enjoy it.

Moral of that story--+1 on Heat's response and Blackhawk's response. Spend your hard-earned money elsewhere, and tell others when asked why.

Why do it in a PM why not put it out in the public?

Is everyone done showing how smart they are by bashing gun shop clerks? Geez. Minimum wage zit heads or other entry level folks and you expect rocket scientists. I wonder how pitiful your lives must be for you to tee off on someone like that.
Okay, flame away.
