A Switch barrel rig with a street price around $600? $200 for barrels? http://dimensionrifle.tcarms.com/ The wrenches and barrel nut are a bit clunky and she aint pretty, but for those who like the idea and usefulness of a switch barrel bolt gun and can't afford the Euro offerings... This thread may be more fun than the Ruger American Rifle...

Must be difficult to swith barrels with a bridge mount. Different bolts for .308 and 3006? And only 3shots mag.

I am admittedly attracted to the idea of a potential 1 moa rifle that I can swap barrels out of when I burn the old one out.(note: I am a 22-250 shooter primarily) As I understand the gossip, these rifles are not yet on the market. Is this correct? Or are my sources mistaken? Certainly I would like to read an actual "real" user review. Keep me posted. Thanks.

Hey, I looked at this thing at the Shot Show and I would not have one on a bet. I do not see how (even using all those special wrenchs that come with it) that a bridge mount is going to return to zero each time. And that stock, jee, I know they have to leave room for different barrel configurations, but a bird could fly between the barrel and the stock. No thanks, but I have to admit I was impressed by the ICON rifle. Looks good. And no, I would not have the new Ruger American Rifle for free, either. R Flowers

They should have gone with a split recoil lug barrel clamp like Sauer/Titan/SHR. I wonder if that would have been more expensive? The whole, planetary drive, torque wrench business seems unecessarily over-complicated? Why is the torque even necessary? As long as the bolt can close it's head spaced, it just needs some way of holding the barrel in place.
