A friend just told me about a rifle a shirttail relative in Nevada has. Push feed M70 from the 1980's, iiuc*, in 300 H&H.

Any of you ever seen one?

* if I understand correctly.

Jim,

I have never seen one but I remember Winchester cataloged them in the late 80's early 90's. I debated seriously with myself before I opted to have Remington build a lefty 300 H&H for me.

Games played with the ball and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun therefore be the constant companion of your walks." There was one for sale at the local gun shop a couple years back....It was priced about $100 more than I was willing to shell out.....so someone else now owns it.

My brother has one, two weeks ago he had it at my house shooting tiny groups with factory ammo.
I'll check with him but I recall his is a M70 300 H&H Sporter with sights.

I have two Model 70 XTRs in 300 H&H that I bought used. Serial numbers indicate that they were made in 1986. Both are very accurate. One wears a H S Precision stock while the other has its original walnut stock.

I bought my 300WM Sporter XTR from a guy that was selling two; one in 300WM and one in 300H&H. Haven't ever regretted it. I put it into a lighweight McMillan Featherweight and it looks, carrys and shoots better than before. Even with the skinny little Sporter barrel, it'll shoot well to over 500 yards.

Yep I had one in the early 90's...sold it about 15 years ago when I went left handed with my rifles....on mine the wood was a orange crate for figure, but shot pretty damn good.

There's a pf 458wm in a local store, super grade FP. pimped bolt, iron sights. It's more $ than a new one.
