| While I do not, a friend of mine loads this on top of Superformance powder and says he gets excellent results from his 700 Rem. I've seen him shoot and am impressed. If you'd like, I can get his load data on Monday... Doug W

| I have a couple boxes for my 7mm Mauser in the Superformance line I'm hoping to use on Caribou and black bear. They shoot well, haven't used them yet so I can't speak as to terminal performance.

| Out of my daughters Rem 7CDL in 7-08 they shoot into one slightly ragged hole at 100 yds. I traded for this rifle for her and developed the load of 41.5 grains of IMR4064 in Winchester brass and a WLRP primer with the 139 Hornady SST bullet. I have never ran this load over a chronograph and I don't think my S-I-L has either. I don't think either of them has ever shot a big game animal with this rifle, but I have shot deer with them in other calibers and they do a good job. A friend shoots this bullet from his 300WSM for elk and always gets pass through and a DRT elk.

| I've found the 139 gr SST to perform quite well in my 7x57 Ruger when it comes to accuracy. Seat the bullet with the cannulure about 1/8" above neck of brass. |

| I've shot them in a couple of 7-08s and used them to kill a couple of WT deer. I'd use them again in a heartbeat.

| They are accurate, but are not a durable bullet. I would never shoot anything bigger than deer with them unless it was with a .338 etc.
I have had them dynamite at low velocity from a short .308 on small deer. |

| the 139 gr hornady has been for years, the go to bullet for 7x;57. always a top performer. kinda like the 85 gr bthp in 6 mm or the 52 gr sierra match in 224 |

I agree if you are talking about the 139 Interlock. It is a great bullet, but the SST is too frangible for my liking. |

| that tip on the sst acts as an initiator to the bullet. their bonded bullet is pretty destructive too with it's tip. I went back to the interlock and have no regrets, and less wasted meat if I have to take an other than perfect shot. |

| Shot my #1, 7x57 over the speed gun yesterday. Short barrel gave me 2650fps w/ the 140g. I also shot 160g loads, but was not impressed w/ the speed. Now, I will stick to the 139g Interlock. The 140g held together pretty well in my 264WM at much higher speed, so the 139g should work great in the 7x57 for deer & hogs shot in the heart/lungs and head. If I need more, I can always use an Accubond or Interbond. |

| Do a search for wound picture for 7mm 139 SSt. I think it was posted here.

| The 139 grain Hornady Interlock and the 140 Nosler Partition exit my 7x57 mountain rifle at 2830 fps. I have had super results with these two bullets, I expect the SST to act like a Ballistic Tip.

| Although I haven't seen the 7mm SST in action, I have seen the 6mm version on an antelope out of a 243 at roughly 100 yards. To say I was more than least impressed would be an understatement. So much so, I would never personally use them on a game animal, varmints would be a different story.

| I have shot them out of my 280AI and found they were extremely accurate but were very explosive. They completely came apart and penetration was nil. They might work on deer sized game if used from a medium velocity cartridge like the 7-08 or 7x57. I wouldn't want to use them from my 280 or 7mm mag. |
